What it may address
A rhinoplasty may soften a dorsal hump, refine a broad or bulbous tip, narrow the nasal bones or base, improve asymmetry, or address certain functional concerns. The plan is individual because every nose, face and airway is different.
Aesthetic and functional planning
Shape and breathing are considered together. The intention is to refine what feels out of balance without imposing a standardised nose or promising perfection.
Approach
Dr Georgiou plans each operation around the patient's anatomy. Depending on the case, the nasal structures may be reshaped using ultrasonic instruments, micro-saws or burrs, and functional concerns can be addressed as part of the same procedure.
Scars and dressings
In many patients, surgery can be performed without a visible external incision, although an open approach may be more appropriate in selected cases. Packing and an external splint are rarely necessary; adhesive strips are commonly worn for around ten days.
Recovery
Discomfort is often manageable, while swelling and bruising vary from person to person. Many patients feel comfortable returning to social activities within ten to fifteen days, although the nose continues to refine over several months. Expected benefits, limitations and risks are discussed during consultation.

Rhinoplasty
